Cairns Craig

Professor Cairns Craig has published widely on Scottish and modernist literature, with current interests in Irish-Scottish cultural relations from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries. Editor of the determinations series beginning in 1989 and author of highly influential literary critical studies including Out of History: Narrative Paradigms in Scottish and English Culture and The Modern Scottish Novel, his most recent book is Intending Scotland: Explorations in Scottish Culture Since the Enlightenment. He is currently working on a book on Muriel Spark.
